It all started on Jan 29th 2008 , when Radio City announced its talent competition , the hunt for the ‘Best Hindi Band ‘ in India .
Zones
South – Bengalooru
North – Delhi
West – Mumbai
The process
First round – Send Original Compositions on a CD
Second Round – 5 entries from each zone face Regional Finals
Third Round and Final Round – 3 Regional Finalists into the National Finals
We sent our original compositions Saajna , Saatwan Taar
and Darbaari Jam and we were selected . We were called for the
Regional Finals where we competed with 3 Bands , Udaan from Chennai ,
Anhad from Mumbai and Swarathma from Bengalooru .
EK and Swarathma won the South Regional Finals .
Well , we were really excited 
After lil interviews with Deccan and Hindu , we went home at around 12 AM to be back at Radio City Office at 8 AM . We had a link of three mins on air .
Similarly , two bands from Delhi and three bands from Mumbai were selected . 7 Best Hindi Bands of India to compete with each other in Delhi for the National Finals . Well , yeah it was lil pressure and a lot of fun.
28th Feb :We left to Delhi on a 10:55 GoAir Flight . Well GoAir was a bit painful as it goes to Mumbai and then to Delhi . So , we reached Delhi at around 5 PM , had little snacks and went directly to the Venue .
Venue : Garden of Five Senses .
When we reached , most of the bands had finished their Sound Check . So we were next . We had our Sound Check . And also a small interview with Radio City Delhi . Palash Sen of Euphoria monitored the Sound Check . And it was 11 PM already .
We were back to our rooms by 11:45 PM and ordered food . Played few songs , had fun and slept by 1 PM .
29th Feb :
to the venue
The D-Day . Got up at 7 PM , packed our Equipments and Costumes , had break fast and left to the Venue with other bands . RC provided us a bus for pick up and drop . Around 5 Bands were travelling in the bus to and fro . So we reached the venue by 11 AM . Then started the Stage Rehearsals . Well , everything was timed including the EmCee’s part , Judges comments , Bands performance , Sponsors Ads , Radio City ads and also Bands plug in and plug out time . So we were supposed to be ready back stage and be alert . The sad part was that every band had only 15 mins to perform.15 mins included plug in and plug out . Sad , sad , sad . Anyways , we did our part , performed and left the stage .
In the meanwhile . . uffff… Indian Ocean was to perform after RC Live . So they had come to the venue in the noon itself for sound check …And and and … we had a small photo shoot with them

29th Feb , 6:30 PM – RC Live National Finals .

We were supposed to stay back stage as soon as the program started . We started to get ready . All bands got their costumes on . This is how we looked . Well , Aveer is missing .
Thanks to Ritu and Shambhavi who decided our Costumes and Accessories .
So , after Talaash and Yeshua from Mumbai , it was EK’s time to perform . After a AV intro , we were there to
rock Delhi .
We started with Jeetenge and Bharath played his part of the stage act by clapping his hands in the air which was
followed by the audience . This chartbuster song was followed by Darbari Jam , another super hit composition . The audience were amazed by the composition and the great Vocals by Shashank . And then came the Judges comments .
Dr. Palash Sen : You people are all the way from the south . How did u manage to form a Hindi Band ?This was smartly answered by Shashank who said :Seeing the Rock Scenario in Bangalore , we thought we will form an English Band . So i tried to sing in English but couldnt . We tried playing English songs and Nothing Else Matters sounded like a Darbari Raag . So we managed to do a composition
out of it . Mr. Subir Malik : Out of the 125 entires we had , you have the best vocals undoubtedly . Mr. Vaibav Rao
(EMI Records ) – Well Jeetenge is a chart buster .
So , after our performance we went and sat with the audience and experienced other bands’ performances . The last band , Swarathma from Bangalore stole the show . They were great on stage . Then came the decision time . Palash , Subir and Vaibav Rao announced the winners . ” The 2nd Runners up are , EK from Bengalooru . ” Wow.. Superb . Great . That was our reaction . “And the First Runners up are … Yeshua from Mumbai ” . Great band they were . Good decision . ” And the winners are . . . Swarathma from Bengalooru “. Mannn… Two bands from Bengalooru ?? Thats Awesome . And the traditional congratulation process happened . All hugged each other .
Cool mann.. The third best band in India . Isnt that great ?? The show was over . We packed and moved . There were few interactions with few big shots and also with the Radio City crew. We exchanged few visiting cards , received appreciations and also got few gigs ( well tats a secret ) . We were also told by the Radio City people that we were their personal favourites .
There was also this guy who talked anf appreciated Shashank(Vocalist) for a hour or so . Shashank gave his 2nd autograph on that day . The first one was in Hubli ( Shankar Mahadevan Show) . After thanking the Radio City Crew for the
oppurtunity , we moved back to the room . We were tired seriously . Reached the room at 12:30 . Had dinner .
Chatted for a while and slept at 2 AM to get up 
again at 6 AM to run to the airport .
And here we are , back in bangalore preparing a blog for you people to read
